How do you make diesel out of old tires?
The process of making diesel from old tires involves a method called pyrolysis. It's a process that uses heat to break down organic materials in the absence of oxygen. Here's a rough overview of the process:
1. First, the waste tires are sent to a pyrolysis reactor.
2. The reactor is heated at a temperature of approximately 400-500°C and the tires are thermally decomposed or cracked into several hydrocarbons.
3. The hydrocarbons produced by the process are condensed into liquid fuel oil.
4. Finally, the pyrolysis oil produced goes through the distillation plant and color and smell remvoal system to further refined to diesel.
Can pyrolysis oil be used in cars?
Pyrolysis oil can be used as a fuel in some applications like industrial boilers or power generators directly , however , we recommend you further refined the pyrolysis oil to diesel by pyrolysis oil distillation plant then used into diesel engines .
